  1. Inflation is akin to "a rising tide lifts all boats." Amongst other things, I have been a banker and lender in my lifetime of 70 years, have lived through high inflationary periods, and seen the tide come and go. This tide was caused primarily by the pandemic, and the Feds response of dispensing large amounts of "free money." The surge will take some time to stop its secondary effects rippling through culture. But its simple: If a vendor has to pay more for his product, he still has to keep his margins of profit, or he goes broke. Thus, the end result is that the consumer pays the inflated price. Hopefully that consumer has had a uptick in income as well, or …it is difficult. Everybody is uncomfortable, everyone hurts during this period, but… it eventually settles down. 🙂

  2. I am writing you from the other side of the globe. The inflation affects all of us and I am not sure if all of the hearing clinics are going to keep their doors open. Many stopped importing latest aids models because it is expensive and time-consuming to obtain all licenses and approvals.

  3. I know what you mean about people not using aids. I am one of 4 who got aids, and I am the only one who wears mine all day every day. Two have given it up completely and one only wears hers when she is at work 4 days for 5 hours. I don't get it. I had surgery and put them on in the afternoon, big difference in my hearing! I enjoy your vlog and you have such valuable insights. Thank you so much for taking the time to help.

  4. I believe I understand where you're coming from regarding how inflation could/will affect your practice, but there is something you have mentioned several times over the past vlogs and that is this: Do you honestly feel that being able to hear well is something all people should be able to experience if they desire to do so, or do you consider hearing well a privilege only open to those who can afford it?
And…why do you feel it's OK that those who cannot afford to spend 7,000 to 10,000 dollars on a pair of hearing aids but want and need better hearing have to go without, or settle on a hit or miss experience at a Costco, or worse, go to a place that does not follow best practices and end up with a device that could potentially make their hearing worse.

  5. some inflation issues are artificial, if you look at their profits..they are make records breaking profits. while some companies are truly having problems.

  6. I love your transparency! I hope your business continues to thrive. The gift of hearing that you are giving to many through your clinic and your media channels is changing lives!
